Cody and Judy are a modern couple.

They love and tolerate each other, but they each have their own aspirations for the future.

Judy wants Cody to move up in her company, while Cody has his eye on an attractive female co-worker, Elizabeth.

Fortunately, Elizabeth and her husband are throwing a high-profile party.

Judy is happy, because she wants to be seen and heard in a place that matters.

Cody is also happy because he might get his chance with Elizabeth.

The trouble with Cody, however, is that he says and does almost whatever he wants, and not always with good manners or tact.

As the party progresses, Cody finds ways to insult a beautiful but husband-desperate girl, a television publicist, and the almost-fiancée of other party-goers.

The plot here is almost nonexistent, as much of the film is about Cody talking to partygoers or into the camera.

As one might guess, a great deal of the humor is of a sexual nature or openly insults modern existence.

Some of it is funny and some of it is offensive.

There is, however, a certain originality expressed, as Cody actually presents opinions that go against modern etiquette.

Again, the film’s running commentary format and scene slicing have an offbeat quality that is refreshing and fun.

This film will have its fans, no doubt, as will any interesting indie film.

But, for those who want to play it safe, especially where offensive content is concerned, this is not the film for them.

Instead, fans who want to see a sample of independent filmmaking without serious objections may want to try My Big Fat Greek Wedding, My House in Umbria, or Greenfingers.
